The 17-year-old from Huntingdon was arrested last night (Wednesday) on suspicion of assault and was in custody at Huntingdon Police Station. His arrest follows investigations into two stabbings and an assault in Huntingdon overnight on Saturday\/Sunday. Two men, aged 19 and 23, were left with stab wounds and were being treated in hospital. A third man suffered head injuries but did not require hospital treatment. Officers have now arrested seven men and charged two. The latest man to be charged was Matthew Douglas, 22, of Nene Road, Huntingdon, who was charged with assault and appeared at Peterborough Magistrates Court this morning. He was committed to Peterborough Crown Court on February 23 to stand trial. Barry Meenan, aged 19, of Cromwell Court, Huntingdon, was charged earlier this week with using threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence and possession of an offensive weapon. Four men, aged 17, 19 and two 18-year-olds, have all been bailed until March 30.
