Huntingdon shop front destroyed after car crashes in retail park

This was the scene after a grey Volkswagen Polo smashed into the front of an office supply store in Huntingdon this morning (November 4).

Police were called to chain retailer Staples, in Huntingdon Retail Park, at 11.25am, as well as the East of England Ambulance Service.

An ambulance crew and ambulance officer assessed two patients in the car - a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 40s - in St Peter’s Road, but neither was taken to hospital.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service are also thought to have attended.
