OFFICIALS have named the man who was killed on the railway line near Huntingdon last month as Ethan Mark Vimes.
Mr Vimes, aged 39, of Huntingdon was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by the 2.23pm King’s Cross to Peterborough train on the line near Great Stukeley on Thursday, July 14.
An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned by South and West Cambridgeshire coroner David Morris on Tuesday, July 19. The cause of death was given as multiple traumatic injuries.
The incident caused major delays for commuters as trains were cancelled and replaced with bus services between St Neots and Peterborough.
