The event saw families enjoy games of Splat the Rat, a tombola, raffle, outdoor stalls, and performances by dance troupes like the Generation Dance Academy. Guests four-legged friends also joined in on the fun, with a dog show taking place including prizes for the best young handler and most handsome pooch. Becky Dunwell, chair of Friends of St Johns School, said: This is our second one, so we went a bit bigger than last year. Im pleased how much we raised and we do other things like discos lots of fun events for families to come and enjoy. The money will go towards providing new playground equipment at the school, including a climbing pirate ship, with the running total now at some £4,000.
