St Johns Primary School in Sallowbush Road, Huntingdon, has eight extra classrooms, a new library, ICT suite and office space and a reflection garden. The work was finished in September but was officially opened last week by the Bishop of Ely, the Right Reverend Stephen Conway, pictured handing over of a symbolic key to chairman of governors Andy Mayes. Headteacher Kate Lund said: The new library and ICT suite has made an enormous difference in terms of increasing the range of reading materials available and we can now supply trolleys of iPads and laptops. Built by Kier and paid for by Cambridgeshire County Council, construction began in October 2012. Work is now underway to decorate the existing part of the school. The opening, watched by parents and friends of the school, included Bishop Stephen blessing the new buildings.
