A mechanic and modified car enthusiast has paid tribute to film star Paul Walker in fitting style - by modifying his car.

Greg Moore, of GW Autos in Huntingdon, had his Subaru Impreza signwritten so it became a moving promotion for the tragic actor’s non-profit organisation Reach Out Worldwide.

The 33-year-old took his car to Santa Pod Raceway in Northamptonshire on Saturday (January 18) for a Tribute Day event in memory of Walker, star of the Fast and Furious films who died in a car crash in November last year.

“The day was truly amazing,” said Mr Moore. “The turnout was at capacity, about 7,000 people, and the reaction to the car was better than I could have imagined. It symbolised what the event was about.”

Organised by Royston Modified Car Community, the event, which featured cars from the Fast and Furious films, was in aid of Reach Out Worldwide, an organisation set up by Walker to react to disasters, such as Typhoon Haiyan, around the world. The final amount raised was yet to be known.

Mr Moore thanked all those who helped him, including promotion girls Lauren Morgan, from Upwood, and Torria Murray, from Huntingdon; Your Sign Company in Huntingdon; Swift Stitch in St Neots; and Mark Tyrell-Thompson of Smoked Imagery in Southoe.
