Jeremiah Johnson, 39, bought a Super 7s Scratchcard from National Lottery GameStore at a supermarket on his way home, before sitting down in front of the TV to play. I wasnt really paying attention to the TV or the game until I saw that I had revealed four matching symbols and the caption below was £250,000, he said. I couldnt believe what I was seeing, uttered a couple of choice words and then triple and quadruple checked it again. The father-of-two rushed to the kitchen to show his wife, Joy, 38, still unsure of his mammoth win. I enjoy playing the odd National Lottery Scratchcard and have had some nice wins along the way but nothing of this size. I genuinely never played believing I would have a big win so when that £250,000 winning symbol was glaring back at me I just couldnt fathom it. I asked Joy to look but she said she had no idea how to play. But after confirming it with Camelot directly, Jeremiah, who is originally from North Carolina, is now planning how to spend the cash. We will use some of the win to clear some loans, a large portion will be put into a college fund for our two children, another portion for a few more bits of furniture and the rest will be a nice little nest egg for the future. Weve been based at RAF Molesworth for three years but will be moving to Germany at the end of the summer for my next posting. We are really sad to leave the UK; we love it here and will take with us some amazing memories, not least this win the perfect souvenir of our time here.
