Police have today (Thursday) arrested a 58-year-old man from Huntingdon on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in which a 50-year-old man died.
Phillip Beeton, 50, of Feltwell Road, Southery, died when the blue Citroen Relay van he was driving was involved in a collision with a tipper lorry. A male passenger from the van remains in a critical condition at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge.
Police are keen to speak to the owner of a silver Volkswagen Bora saloon who may have witnessed the collision.
The northbound A10 at Chittering, near Ely, was closed after the incident this morning.

The 58-year-old has been released on police bail until December 9.
