JOBS at Huntingdon Blockbuster are at risk after it was announced that it is set to go into administration.

The DVD and video games company has 528 shops in the UK including the store in Tower Field Leisure Park, and in total, the business, best known for its rental service, employs 4,190 staff, with an average of five jobs per store.

Administrator Deloitte said the move was a result of increased competition from rival online businesses.

Stores will trade as normal while a buyer is sought, with gift cards and credit acquired through Blockbuster’s trade-in to be honoured.
