HUNTINGDONSHIRE District Council chairman Jeff Dutton took a bit of time out from his busy schedule to re-connect within his inner core at the official opening of a new yoga centre last week.
The Equilibrium Yoga and Well-being Centre in Ferrars Road offers a range of yoga styles including Forrest yoga, which was developed 30 years ago by Ana Forrest and uses deep breathing, workout and heat to relieve stress; Jivamukti yoga, which combines chanting, meditation, yoga philosophy and relaxation; and Hatha yoga, a combination of breathing and physical movement.
There are also mindfulness courses, which aim to teach ways of dealing with stress and everyday challenges, as well as help with pain management.
And for expectant mums, the new centre offers pregnancy yoga/Daisy birthing, which aims to prepare the mother for childbirth.
