Actor Warwick Davis and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith have been given honorary degrees by Anglia Ruskin University.
The pair received their awards during student graduation ceremonies at Peterborough Cathedral.
Warwick, who lives in Yaxley, received an honorary doctor of arts award for his services to drama and his work to change the way that short people are represented in film and television. The Harry Potter actor is currently appearing in the West End musical Spamalot.
Huntingdon Olympic gym star Louis, the winner of the last series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, received an honorary doctor of health sciences award for his services to British sport, culminating in his silver medal in gymnastics at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Vice chancellor Professor Michael Thorne said both Warwick and Louis served as a great inspiration.
