Entertainment included the Stukeley Meadows Primary School Choir, Caitlyn Proctor, Thomas Dunleavy and the Urban Dance Academy.

Huntingdon town clerk Philip Peacock said: “We would estimate that more than 1,000 people came to the lights swicth-on and there was a great atmosphere and the town was buzzing with excitment. We would urge people to come down either today (Friday) or over the weekend as there is still lots going on and plenty of stalls to buy food or Christmas presents.”
