Hundreds attended the annual Walk of Witness service in Huntingdon town centre today.

Starting at St Mary's Church, in High Street, Christians from churches throughout the town and beyond walked through the High Street following a wooden cross carried by two people.

There were generations of many families that took part in the service, organised by the Churches Together in Huntingdon, which started at 11.30am.

The cross was walked to St Benedict's Court where a small service was held before being transported to All Saints Church, in Market Square.

Good Friday hymns were sung and prayers said, as reverends from churches throughout the town addressed the crowd.

The Walk of Witness takes place in town and cities throughout the country to take the Christian message out onto the streets and into town centres.
