Pupils of Cromwell Park School were encouraged to let their imaginations go wild and give their bikes a radical make-over for a Bling Your Bike day.
The youngsters transformed their two-wheeled vehicles into a host of fanciful designs. Prizes were awarded to the best examples.
Among the winners were a bike transformed into a police motorcycle, a bike turned into an entertainment unit with DJ, and a dragon-bike. Taking the ‘bling’ quite literally, one pupil had decorated their bike entirely in gold with gold bows.
The day was held as part of National Bike Week which aims to encourage and promote cycling.
Deputy headteacher Rebecca Gray said: “I and Miss Barnard would like to thank all the parents for making such an effort.”
