A HUNTINGDON-based business has once again been leading the way when it comes to looking after its employees and the community.

The Luminus Group is no stranger to success in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For awards, having finished in the number two spot in last year's national final.

And last week Luminus repeated its success, reclaiming the second spot above more than 900 other companies.

But the social landlord enjoyed even more success at the 2011 awards, claiming the Sunday Times special award after being named the best company for employee wellbeing and finishing first in the rankings for giving something back to the community.

Group chief executive, Chan Abraham, said: “I am encouraged and humbled by these results, especially since this is the second consecutive year that Luminus has achieved special awards as well as the overall second place in this unique assessment that tells leaders what their employees think.

“Arising from an independent and anonymous survey of over 275,000 employees nationwide, The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For has grown to become a key indicator of a company's employee engagement, culture and best practice.”
