Hundreds of pounds worth of footwear has been stolen by thieves from homes in Huntingdonshire.
The bizarre series of thefts took place overnight between Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9, in Bluntisham and Colne.
In one incident, a thief ransacked a storage shed outside a house in High Street, Colne, and stole an assortment of footwear which, according to police, was worth several hundred pounds.
In the same period a house in Colne Road, Bluntisham, was targeted. The thief stole four pairs of ladies footwear which had been left in an open porch at the front of the house.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: “The thief would have had to walk up a long driveway from the road to reach the porch to steal the footwear which consisted of wellington boots, trainers and walking boots.”
Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call Cambridgeshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
