Staff and personnel at RAF Wyton raised hundreds of pounds for this year’s Poppy Appeal with a cupcake sale and raffle.
The initiative was led by Linda Donald, assistant to the commanding officer at Wyton, Wing Commander Phil Owen, who baked a variety of flavoured cupcakes, chocolate poppy lollies and biscuits, along with her handmade/painted edible toppers.
Raffle prizes were donated by Bryan Jones RBL, Nonie’s Cakes, Bookarami and POSH Original Art, and helped the event raised £700.
Mrs Donald said: “It’s a pleasure to do this as an annual event for such a worthy cause as the RBL and she already has some ideas for what to make next year.
“I would like thank Wing Commander Owen and everyone who kindly supported the appeal, raffle and cupcake sale and dug deep to make this a successful year.”
