TV star Penelope Keith has been in Houghton and Wyton in a bid to find the nation’s top village.
She bonded with alpacas during her visit to the twin villages for the Channel 4 show Village of the Year.
Penelope and judges Alex Langlands, Juliet Sargeant and Patrick Grant have been visiting dozens of communities across the country trying to decide which village should be declared the best.
Houghton was one of the villages on a shortlist whittled down from more than 400 applicants.
The show has been broadcast daily with a peak show on Saturday. The semi-final, where five villages from the Village of the Year in the central zone competed for a place in the final and the chance to be crowned Village of the Year, was held on Saturday. A prize of £10,000 is also up for grabs.
