A horse was rescued from a river near Earith yesterday (Thursday).
Firefighters were sent to a field near the village at about 10.20am after a passer-by spotted the horse in the water.
A vet sedated the horse to enable the firefighters to safely move the horse to the river bank.
The crews remained with the vet and horse until it came round. They left about 2pm.
The horse was unharmed.
