Firefighters freed a horse trapped in a gate at a farm in Sawtry.
One crew from Dogsthorpe, plus a crew and rescue vehicle from Huntingdon were called to Glatton Road at 7.29am today (Tuesday). The horse – named Sparkles – had its front legs stuck in a metal gate.
A vet sedated the animal and the fire crews used specialist cutting equipment to free it before returning to their stations by 8.25am.
