Members of the public are invited to attend a special meeting of Huntingdonshire District Council’s overview and scrutiny panel on the proposed merger of Hinchingbrooke Hospital.
The meeting, on June 28 at Pathfinder House in Huntingdon, will hear from hospital chief executive, Lance McCarthy and Val Moore, chairman of Healthwatch Cambridgeshire.
The boards at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals agreed last month to produce a full business case in readiness for a merger on April 1, 2017.
During the session, an hour will be allocated for members of the public to ask questions. To help manage this process, the district council is asking people to submit their interest in asking a questions in advance. Questions will be taken in date order in which they were registered.
Councillor Tim Alban, chairman of the overview and scrutiny panel for communities and the envrionment, said: “To help the council develop an informed response to the trusts’ proposal, we would like to hear directly from residents and other interested parties on this key decision for this major community asset.”
