Reception pupils teamed up with Year 1 children at Holywell Primary School to put on several performances of Away in a Manger.
The action centred on Maurice the donkey’s stable where spiders were among the creatures to welcome the birth of baby Jesus.
Headteacher Julie Branch said: “I was really impressed because they were such a young group and remembered what to do and when to do it.”
