The park, which received a gold award, was announced as the winner of both the large park and biodiversity categories at a ceremony in Gorleston on Sea, Norfolk, yesterday. St Neots, which last year picked up a gold award, received silver gilt status in the large town category, as did St Ives. Moor in Bloom, which represents the Oxmoor, picked up a silver award in the urban community for the third year running. Holt Island, in St Ives, was nominated for the best garden for special needs. In the cemeteries category, Broad Leas Cemetery won a bronze award and Westwood Cemetery was presented a certificate of achievement. St Marys Church in St Neots was also given a bronze award.
