Hinchingbrooke Hospitals emergency care team has organised a meeting to discuss all the issues of treating people in the department and members of the public are welcome to attend.In addition, staff and trust board members will be throwing the spotlight on the process for discharging patients who are fit to leave hospital. Hinchingbrooke emergency department consultant, Dr Pallav Bhatnagar, will present an update on recent improvements made within emergency care and talk about how the public can assist their local hospitals this winter by seeking the appropriate treatment for their needs. Mary Donaldson, assistant general manager for capacity and flow, will also be discussing the patient discharge process and how patients and their relatives or carers can support the hospital when it is time to leave. The meeting is free to attend and open to members of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust as well as members of the public. It is being staged in the education centre, at Hinchingbrooke Hospital on September 27, at 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
