ONE of the bidders for the controversial Hinchingbrooke Hospital franchise has been rejected, The Hunts Post has learned.
NHS East of England, the health authority overseeing the complicated process to select a private company to run the debt-ridden hospital, confirmed that Ramsay Healthcare was no longer in the running.
As part of the second stage of the franchise process, each of the three contenders had to submit a bid which needed to meet set requirements. However, Ramsay Healthcare’s bid was deemed to be “non-compliant” and will no longer be considered.
The bidding is now a two-horse race between Circle Health and Serco.
