A cake was cut the markHilton Methodist Church has celebrated 150 year of worship, by putting on an exhibition.

Members of the church opened their building up on April 21/22 to celebrate the occasion, where over 200 people came to look at the exhibition, which showed the history of the church and the part it has played in village life over the years.

A celebration tea was held on Saturday, with guests including previous ministers and members of the church and representatives from Wesley House in Cambridge, a former training college for students going into the ministry.

The Sedici Choir, gave a short concert, with items chosen from the Victorian Era, when the church was built.

On the Sunday, Reverend Hugh-Nigel Sheehan returned to the church to lead a united service of Thanksgiving. Reverend David Busk, vicar of the Parish Church and Reverend Rachel Larkinson, present minister at the Methodist church also took part in the service.
