The organisers of Huntingdon Carnival and Huntingdon Community Radio’s Live in the Park are appealing for help with this year’s festivities.
The carnival takes place on August 11 and the event committees are looking for companies and organisations to take part in the procession, which will take a new route through the town this year owing to the relocation of the market.
A spokesman for the events said: “We would love you to take part in our parade and we are looking for individuals and groups. This year’s theme is ‘That’s Entertainment’.
“We are already searching for our carnival court, and will be holding competitions for the carnival queen, prince and princesses.”
If you are interested in the carnival court or having a stall, or if you would like information about the events, contact Sylvia Gawthorp on 01480 350861 or e-mail sylvia.gawthorp@huntingdoncarnival.co.uk.
This year’s Live in the Park is scheduled for August 12 from midday and organisers are looking for three local bands who would like to get some exposure.
