THE police helicopter pursued a shoplifter from Tesco in Ramsey on Monday after he headbutted a security guard.
A 19-year-old man from St Neots was chased and arrested after escaping from a supermarket security guard who had confronted him at around 9pm on Monday.
A police spokesman confirmed that the helicopter had been in the air at the time, and had assisted in the arrest of the man.
He was detained and held overnight at Huntingdon Police Station.
