A pre-school in Great Staughton has been rated ‘good’ after an Ofsted inspection.
Great Staughton (Piglets) Pre-school was inspected in November and the management team have said the judgement was testament to their hard work.
“We were pleased that the inspector judged that the children attending Piglets were making good progress, noticing children’s levels of engagement, confidence, independence and creativity as we were observed over a six-hour period,” said manager Suzanne Worrall.
She added: “This could not have been achieved without the support of our local community and, in particular, the generous donation we received from the parish charities that enabled us to purchase new equipment, including tables and unit blocks for the children and laptops for staff observations and assessments.
“We will continue our journey by increasing our forest school activities, whilst continuing to develop our provision and parent partnerships to deliver the highest quality learning environment for all the children who attend our lovely rural setting.”
