A car window was thought to be amongst the items damaged by a sonic boom over Huntingdonshire last year.
The Ministry of Defence has revealed that a Godmanchester resident claimed that a car window was shattered by a Eurofighter Typhoon which went supersonic overhead on June 16 last year. The claim was not pursued.
The jet was responding to an emergency at Heathrow Airport after air traffic controllers lost contact with a plane.
Two other claims of damage were made to the MoD – to patio doors in Colchester and to roof tiles in Sawbridgeworth, though both were rejected.
There was no reported damaged in Huntingdonshire following the latest sonic boom, on June 5 this year, but a window was cracked in Peterborough and roof tiles were dislodged in Deeping St James.
