Swimmer Mark Foster and ex-Eastenders actor Ricky Groves turned out for the opening of a Godmanchester gym’s new premises.

On Saturday, November 8, The Unit Fitness, based at Roman Way Small Business Park, off London Road, welcomed the celebrities alongside between 80 and 100 friends, family members, and current and prospective customers. They showed off the larger site, close to their old premises, which includes new classes, personal training, small group training, and activities such as Thai boxing and yoga.

Josh Phelps, co-director, said that Mark and Ricky are his friends, and they are both likely to take part in some training at the gym.

He added: “It was fantastic - people got to ask a few questions about what we actually do and what we provide.

“We have got more facilities, much more in the way of equipment, and an opportunity for people to try new things.”
