Daniel Collingwood and his partner Amelia Owden bought the suite from the DIY chains St Neots store in November and paid £2,745 to have it fitted. However, Mr Collingwood, 34, of Lancaster Way, said that, despite B&Q sending out six different fitters, the bathroom still lookeds like a building site. They originally quoted five days for the installation, but its been five months, he said. Its only a small bathroom, and we bought a standard three-piece suite a bath tub with a shower over it, a toilet and a sink but they have made so many bodge-ups all the way through. Every time we have a shower it leaks. We have to have a fan on the floor blowing the moisture away because the electrics are in the kitchen directly below. Its just one problem after another. A spokesman for B&Q said: Having already replaced the pipework to his basin and bath, weve been unable to locate any cause for a leak. We are going in again today (Tuesday) to replace his bath and shower screen in order to get to the bottom of the problem. We fit over 35,000 kitchens and bathrooms every year and the vast majority of these are installed smoothly. Following our work this week, and once weve resolved the problem for Mr Collingwood, well be in discussion with him about compensation for the disruption and inconvenience.
