A TEENAGER is recovering in hospital after a horse riding accident on Boxing Day.
The 15-year-old girl fell from a horse in Great Stukeley.
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to stables in the village at about 12.30pm. A rapid response vehicle and ambulance were sent, along with the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Aircrew paramedic Jemma Varula said: “The 15-year-old girl fell from her horse whilst jumping at a farm. She was thought to be unconscious initially but was stable the whole time the aircrew were there. For precaution, we carefully monitored her and she was transported by land ambulance to Addenbroke’s Hospital, which has neurological facilities.”
