Get some Christmas spirit in our card competition

CHILDREN from across Huntingdonshire are being asked to put their design talents to the test in a competition that will help the district’s children’s charity, Dreamdrops.

The Hunts Post has teamed up with the charity to organise a Christmas card design competition.

We are looking for two fantastic festive designs that will be converted into Christmas cards and sold to help raise money for the charity’s work.

Think snow (which may be difficult considering the recent weather), Father Christmas, presents, and nativity scenes and you’ll be on the right track. And if you add some bright colours and a few children – to coincide with the charity’s aims – and you could well be on to a winner.

We’re looking for two designs – and two winners.

One winner will be chosen from a primary school in the district and another from a senior school.

“This is a great chance to get your work professionally printed as Christmas cards and help out a Huntingdonshire charity,” said Andy Veale, Editor of The Hunts Post and a Dreamdrops committee member.

“Dreamdrops plans to sell the cards in the run up to Christmas to help raise funds to spend on its work supporting Holly Ward – the children’s ward – and the special care baby unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.

“And as well as helping out a great local charity, the winners will also get an early Christmas present from us as a thanks.”

INFORMATION: The competition closes on October 28. Entries will need to be your own original work on one side of A4. Please include your name, age, address, school and contact details.
