Volunteers from the Huntingdon and District and the St Neots round tables will be taking their Santa sleighs to the streets to collect money for worthwhile local causes throughout December and we want our readers to be involved.
The Hunts Post has teamed up with both round table groups to enhance this year’s experience and hopefully help the round tables to raise even more money.
We are asking people to take selfie photographs when the sleigh visits their street and send them to us for our online gallery. Pictures can be emailed to: huntspost@hotmail.co.uk.
If you want to see all the updates and stories we have written about the Round Table Santa Sleigh, go to The Hunts Post website at: www.huntspost.co.uk and click on the Santa Sleigh link at the top of the home page. You can check out the routes and find out when Santa is in a street near you and also see our reader photos.
Once you know the night Santa is coming to your road or area, you can use the Round Table’s live Santa tracker to find out where the sleigh is. There will be a link to the Round Table’s website. That way you can have the children ready and be sure not to miss out.
Nationally, the Round Table organisation raises more than £3 million each year from the Santa sleighs rounds which take place in towns and cities across the country.
Chris Lawrence, from the St Neots Round Table said: “Round Table is a not-for-profit organisation run by local volunteers who rush from their day jobs to spread a little Christmas cheer each year. We would like to thank all the community groups that also give up their valuable time to help us. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to run the sleighs.”
