RUNNERS will be flipping their way along Huntingdon High Street on Tuesday (March 8) for the town’s annual pancake race.

The races - a short dash between St Benedict’s Court and the Market Square - start at 11am with the last finishing at about noon.

As is traditional, the event will include a ‘chain gang’ race - a race between the mayors from various Cambridgeshire towns, and the highly competitive retail race which pits teams from the town’s shops against each other.

The races are open to all to enter. You can book your place on the starting line by e-mailing towncouncil@huntingdon.gov.uk, pick up an entry form from the town council offices in Hartford Road, or you can turn up on the day.

Teams entering the retail race will need four runners to take part.
