Garage destroyed in Eaton Ford blaze

A garage was destroyed after a fire broke out in Eaton Ford today (Monday).

Firefighters from St Neots, Huntingdon, and Papworth were called to reports of a blaze in Meadowsweet at about 2pm.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find a fire in a large garage. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 4.30pm.”

According to fire service investigators, the cause of the blaze was accidental.
