Hundreds of youngsters across the district have been taking to the stage, many for the first time, as they act out Christmas stories in front of packed audiences.

While it might be more nail-biting for parents than the young performers, the nativity and its numerous variations are a special time for all involved.

There's the usual mix of kings and wise men, shepherds and angels, donkeys and sheep, not to forget a whole host of Marys and Josephs.

We hope Hunts Post readers enjoy our spread of pictures. Look out for more to come in next week's Hunts Post and if you have a nativity snap you would like to share, send it to news@huntspost.co.uk.
