In the carnival arena, there were demonstrations of line dancing, street dancing and displays by Sawtry Spirit Cheerleaders and Harmony Majorettes.

The guest of honour was teenage paralympic swimmer Lauren Steadman, who swam for Britain in Beijing last year and who was raising money at the carnival for Huntingdon Piranhas Swimming Club by selling hats and t-shirts.

Organiser, Gillian Tanner told The Hunts Post: "The day was a great success and despite the weather forecast, we were very lucky and it kept fine.
