CHILDREN from eight Huntingdonshire schools took part in a music festival at Hinchingbrooke Performing Arts Centre on Thursday.

The Key Stage 2 Music Festival was a choir workshop for children aged bettween seven and 11.

This year's theme was A Journey Through Space and the songs included Believe, Don't Stop Me Now, Great Balls of Fire, We Will Rock You and, for a finale, No Wars Will Stop Us Singing.

Taking part were youngsters from primary schools in Abbots Ripton, Brampton, Buckden, Hartford, Houghton, Godmanchester Primary and St Anne's Godmanchester and Stukeley Meadows.

The event was organised by HuntSNet, a network of 23 Huntingdonshire schools and Huntingdonshire Regional College which coordinates joint projects.

The concert was conducted by Anthea Kenna, with Margaret Leverett on the piano.
