THESE dramatic pictures show how a car in St Neots was engulfed by flames after arsonists struck.
ARSONISTS set fire to a car on Kings Road, St Neots, in the early hours of this morning. (Friday)
Neighbour Phil Barrett told The Hunts Post he was woken up at 5.15am by the sound of tyres exploding in the street outside.
After dialling 999 he took pictures of the blazing black Ford Escort.
“The fire engine arrived within about 10 minutes.
“There was loads of smoke which you can make out on the pictures and many of the neighbours had gathered outside to see what was going on.”
Firefighters used two hose reels to put out the blaze which was caused deliberately.
Anyone with information should call the police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
