Fundraising festival in Offord Cluny for Molly Moore

THE man responsible for bringing the cult cartoon character Danger Mouse to life will be at a fundraising festival in Offord Cluny this weekend.

Animator Alan Case will teach youngsters – and grown-ups – how to draw cartoons at the One More Mile event, which will raise money for Molly Moore, who suffers from PHACE syndrome, which affects the arteries in the brain.

The festival also features a wide range of entertainment and stalls, such as an auction and raffle – with lots including a racing suit signed by commentating legend Murray Walker and the more unusual prize of �,1000-worth of dental treatment, as well as signed football memorabilia and a helicopter flight.

World champion stunt flyer Mark Jeffries will also give an aerial display.

White Watch from Huntingdon Fire Station will give a demonstration and there will be musical entertainment from The Mighty Hub Whipley, Inventing Eve, Northshore and singer Vicky Scrase, who reached the finals of the Greek version of X Factor.

There will be plenty to keep children entertained, including an inflatable 60ft-hight slide and play mountain, craft activities, pony rides and face painting.

Refreshments will include a barbecue and hog roast as well as plenty of options for vegetarians.

INFORMATION: The event takes place on Sunday at the Northbrook Equestrian Centre on New Road.

Tickets cost �5 in advance or �6 on the day. The price includes entrance for one adult and one child under 12.
