MORE than 100 friends gathered at Brampton Memorial Hall yesterday (Monday) to remember Matthew Elliott, the teenage motorcyclist who died in a road accident on Saturday. Seventeen-year-old Matthew, of Brecon Way, Huntingdon, suffered fatal injuries when his motorbike collided with a car on Paxton Road, Offord DArcy, at 5.39pm on Saturday (July 24). The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman from Great Paxton, suffered minor injuries. The memorial gathering, arranged by his friends, observed two minutes silence in memory of the Hinchingbrooke student. Speaking at the memorial, his close friends said Mattie, as he was known to them, would be remembered for the way he made them laugh. He was the nicest guy you could ever meet, said Patrick Hearn, 17, a fellow student at Hinchingbrooke. He was unique always smiling, and dancing, the life of the party. He just wanted to have a good time all the time, and would do anything to make other people laugh and smile. School friend Connor Mellon said: He was my best mate. He was such a happy person, and he always knew how to cheer me up. To leave your tribute to Matthew, please sign in and post a comment using the form below.
