Christmas shoppers will again get free parking after 3pm in December.
Huntingdonshire District Council has announced that the offer will run from December 2 until Christmas Eve in all of its car parks, with the aim of encouraging shoppers to use the high streets.
HDC deputy leader Councillor Nick Guyatt said: “Huntingdonshire’s market towns have a lot to offer shoppers, and we really want to encourage residents to shop local in order to support our shops and services. Following the success of previous years, we are sure that shoppers and businesses alike will benefit from this special offer.”
The council said parking will be free after 3pm, Monday to Friday, in St Neots (including the Waitrose and Beales car parks), St Ives (including Waitrose) and Huntingdon. Parking is always free in Ramsey.
Charges will still apply in Market Square, St Neots.
