Firefighters tackle lorry blaze on A14 near Catworth

Firefighters tackled a lorry fire near Catworth on the A14 Westbound at 7.30pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Five crews from Kimbolton, Huntingdon, Thrapston and Yaxley attended the double decker lorry fire which was carrying non-hazardous cargo.

A rescue vehicle was called for extra lighting and a digger was also used to remove debris from the trailer.

The cause of the fire was accidental and the last crew left at 12.20am.
