Firefighters were called in to rescue a sheep from a river in Hemingford Grey.
Crews from Huntingdon and Papworth and a rescue vehicle were called shortly after 12.30pm to reports of a sheep in water off Mill Lane.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A sheep had been found by a family, who were rowing along the river. The family managed to manoeuvre the boat to contain the animal against the river bank until rescue crews arrived. In-water crews were deployed to rescue the sheep.”
Firefighters crews returned to their stations by 2.30pm.
