A HORSE had to be rescued from water near Offord Cluny after becoming trapped on Monday morning.
Using a sling, two crews from Huntingdon and a crew from St Neots helped the horse out of the water, and it was believed to be uninjured.
Richard Dykes, station commander at St Neots, said: “Firefighters using tethered lines entered the water and placed a sling around the horse to encourage her out of the water.
“Keeping the animal calm is an important part of these rescues and I would like to thank the owner of the nearby Northbrook Equestrian Centre who saw the incident and assisted firefighters.”
The incident happened at around 8.50am, and crews were back at their bases by 10am.
