Firefighters cut casualty free after van crashes into ditch in Hemingford Grey

A man had to be freed from a van after crashing into a ditch in Hemingford Grey.

Two fire crews from Huntingdon were called to Marsh Lane at 7.04pm on Saturday (June 28), where they used specialist cutting equipment to release the driver - who is in his 60s - before he was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital by ambulance. He had a head injury which was not thought to be serious.

Fire crews returned to their stations by 8.20pm.
