Arsonists set fire to a pile of tyres in St Neots last night (Monday).
Firefighters from St Neots and Papworth were called at about 7.50pm to a blaze in Cambridge Road.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a large amount of tyres. They extinguished the fire and returned to their stations by 10.50pm.”
An investigation revealed the cause of the fire was deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police by visiting www.cambs.police.uk to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
