The crash happened at the crossroads at the end of School Lane, Broughton, at about 8.40am.

The vans, a Mercedes and a Peugeot, both ended up in a ditch, a police spokesman said.

Fire crews from Huntingdon and Chatteris were sent and helped to free one of those involved.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said its medics treated a man in his 30s who had an injury to his pelvis.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. The other driver was not hurt, said the police spokesman.
